SEARCH HELP

You can search for any word or combination of words that appear throughout the Fairplay, Solutions and Daily News archives.

Results will be returned in most recent first order.

There are currently two places to search from:

1. Home Page Search: The home page search will search all the electronic archives, the Daily News stories back to 1996 and the Fairplay and Solutions articles published since 6th January 2000.

2. Archive Search: Available on the Archive Menu, this option allows you to refine the search to a specific publication.

Searching a single word: Just type the word and press GO. Results will come back that feature that word.

Multiple word searching: You can search for occurances of two or more words by simply typing those in together in the search box. The results will not only show them together but also as separate words within the document.

Keeping word combinations together: By putting quote marks " " around words you ask for a search to produce results with those words in exact combination together. For example, searching for "dry bulk vessel" will produce a result with those words somewhere together in the article, not separate. Where those words are not to be found together, the search will return the next best option, ie two of the words together or single words where they appear in the same article etc.
